Terms
of Use.

These Terms govern your use of Palio, including partner linking, shared wishes, messaging, mutual-friend connections, Couples Square, and related services.

Palio is an 18+ service. By creating an account or using Palio, you confirm that you are at least 18 and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Palio (“Palio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning the Palio mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”). If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service. Additional feature-specific terms may apply and will be presented before you use the relevant feature.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement. You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so, if we previously terminated your account for serious or repeated violations, or if you are subject to sanctions that prohibit the Service from being provided to you.

3. Accounts, partner linking, and security

  • Provide accurate information and keep it current.
  • Keep credentials confidential and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be assigned to you.
  • Only link with a partner or connect with another user when both people freely agree. Either person may unlink, block, or end a connection.
  • Do not impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts, sell accounts, or use automated methods to create or access accounts.

Some actions taken in a shared couple space may be visible to your linked partner. Unlinking does not necessarily delete content already shared or retained for safety, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes.

4. License to use Palio

Subject to these Terms, Palio grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for lawful, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, scrape, interfere with, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

5. Your content and audience choices

You retain ownership of content you create or upload (“User Content”). You grant Palio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical display, transmit, and display User Content solely as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Service in accordance with your audience choices and privacy settings. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable backup cycles, legal retention, safety records, and copies lawfully made by other users.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content and that doing so does not violate another person’s privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights. Couples Square is public. Do not post anything there that you do not want others to view, save, or share. Private or limited-audience features must not be used to distribute unlawful or abusive content.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Palio to:

  • Harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, bully, shame, discriminate against, or encourage harm to any person.
  • Post sexual exploitation material, content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual services, human trafficking, or content that violates another person’s consent.
  • Publish another person’s private information, precise location, credentials, or identifying documents without authorization.
  • Post illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, hateful, graphically violent, or deliberately deceptive content.
  • Send spam, scams, malware, phishing, unauthorized promotions, or artificially manipulate engagement.
  • Evade blocks or enforcement, interfere with reporting tools, or encourage others to violate these Terms.
  • Probe, disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service; access data without authorization; or use bots, scraping, or automated collection without written permission.

7. Community safety, reporting, and moderation

Palio provides tools to report content, block users, and limit unwanted interactions. We may use automated systems and human review to detect, review, restrict, label, remove, or preserve content and accounts that may violate these Terms, community standards, law, or safety requirements. We may consider context, severity, history, and risk when acting.

Reports should be made in good faith. Misuse of reporting tools may itself violate these Terms. Where available, you may appeal an enforcement decision through the notice or support channel provided. We cannot guarantee that all objectionable content will be identified immediately or that users will never encounter harmful conduct.

Urgent and intimate-content reports

If content presents an immediate danger, contact local emergency services. To report non-consensual intimate imagery or a credible threat, use the in-app report tool and email palio@gmail.com. Include the relevant account, post, or message details and confirm that you are the depicted person or an authorized representative where applicable. We may preserve and disclose records when required by law.

9. Third-party services and app stores

The Service may link to or interoperate with Apple, Google, sign-in providers, payment providers, or third-party websites. Their terms and privacy policies govern their services. If you download Palio through an app store, the store’s terms also apply. To the extent of a conflict concerning use of the app-store platform, the applicable store terms control.

10. Suspension, termination, and account deletion

You may stop using Palio and request account deletion at any time through available in-app controls or by contacting us. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misconduct, comply with law, prevent harm, or address a material or repeated breach of these Terms. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal. Sections that by their nature should survive termination remain effective, including ownership, licenses already necessary for lawful retention, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions.

11. Disclaimers

Palio provides tools for communication, planning, and community; it does not provide professional relationship, medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent storage, relationship outcomes, the identity or conduct of users, or that every harmful item will be detected. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Palio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, Palio’s aggregate liability will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid Palio during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$100. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

13. Governing rules and disputes

Before filing a formal claim, you and Palio agree to try to resolve the issue by contacting the other party with a clear description of the dispute and requested resolution. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Palio’s principal place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections and access to competent local courts remain unaffected. Nothing here limits a right to contact a regulator, consumer-protection authority, data-protection authority, or law-enforcement agency.

14. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may change the Service and update these Terms to reflect product, safety, legal, or operational developments. We will post the revised Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. If a material change requires consent, we will request it. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.
